What is gold plated jewelry?

Jewelry where the base metal is dipped into real gold. The outer layer is gold allowing the jewelry to be more durable. It will tarnish over time but if taken care of well it can last much longer than fantasy jewelry. In some cases it can last a year or more.

How can we take care of gold plated jewelry?

Don't wet the jewelry (especially shower with it or get in the pool with) and keep it inside a container such as a jewelry box or the bag that we send it in. Put your jewelry last and take it off first to prevent damaging it. Avoid wearing them while exercising.

I'm taking care of my gold plated jewelry and it still tarnished fast. Why?

Unfortunately personal PH levels can cause gold plated jewelry to tarnish faster. If you notice your jewelry tarnishes fast when taking good care of it we recommend using stainless steel jewelry instead.
